Trip to Italy and France September - October 2014

On September 15th I drove down to Italy because we had a gathering at a friends house in Tuscany.

On my way to Tuscany a had a stop over at Lago di Garda in Torri del Benaco and stayed at the lovely Hotel Gardesana.

My dinner. Unfortunately it looks better than it tasted.
In Germany we say "if the food is too salty the cook is in love". In this case everything had a kind of a bitter taste. I have no idea what that means about the cooks mental state !!??

Had a last drink on my wonderful terrace before I went to bed.
Next morning I went off to Tuscany and after a 4 hour drive I arrived in "LeMura"
Had a nice luncheon with Uschi and Michael
La Contessa di LeMura = Uschi

After spending 10 days in France I went back to Munich with a two day stop over in Alto Adige
I stayed at Hotel Panorama in Tirol

There is a chairlift that belongs to the hotel - for free use for the hotel guests and it leads you directly in the the heart of the old town of Merano

Enormous plums. I have never seen anything like it
South Tyrol has many remarkable architects and I love the perfect combination of the old and the new
