Vacation

So finally I am back again in Munich. Had a wonderful time in Biot with a friend of mine. We started of in Munich via Surlej / Silvaplana Switzerland. Did a little hiking there and then went on a few days later down to Nice. The trip was o. k. except we had some problems finding the right route around Milan, which is really kind of confusing.

Arrived in Biot in the late afternoon. I was already looking forward for our new dog Balou a German Shepard –7 months old. He had grown up already quite a bit and is teasing poor old Benno all the time.

We spent the time mostly at the pool reading a lot and walked the dogs on this beautiful hiking trail called sentier la Brague, which starts just right behind the house and leads all the way to the beautiful village of Valbonne. It leads along a little river called la Brague that has little waterfalls. It’s quite shady and so it is never to warm even in July and August. The weather has been not to hot anyway for this time of the year.

One morning we went down to Cannes and did a little shopping in the Rue d´Antibes. After 2 –3 hours we had enough and went back to our nice little village Biot. On a day we went down to Antibes to buy some groceries at the beautiful marché because we had some friends coming for dinner to our house.

Two days before we left we met a good friend of mine who is working for the Ballet Monte Carlo. Before we met her, we stoped and went up to Eze. This is one of the most remarkable little villages I have ever seen. I love to go there every now and then.

Kathy – that’s the name of my friend in Monte Carlo – also had two friends there visiting her. Kevin Haigen whom I have met before at John Neumeiers apartment, a former ballet dancer from the Hamburg Ballet and now assistant of John Neumeier and his friend David a former dancer of the Royal Ballet in London. We went to one of my favourite places near Monaco that is called La Différence a quiet tip. We had the most wonderful evening. And got home pretty late.
The next day my cousin Ariane and her husband with little Beppi (Sebastian 3 years old) arrived. I had to make a picture of Beppi and the statue of the angel that is placed near the driveway to the house because at the moment they totally look alike

Before dinner we had a drink at the Hotel du Cap in Antibes. We spent the rest of the evening at home.
Next day at noon we had to leave the Bastide d´Libac and flew back to Munich. The weather in Munich was quite cold and it started to rain. In the afternoon I had to pick up a friend of mine from the central station she was visiting me for the weekend.

In the late afternoon the weather became a bit better and we could even sit outside for a drink on the fabulous terrace of the Hotel Bayerischer Hof. You can have the most wonderful view to the alps and over the city.
