So we had a very nice Christmas Eve with many presents and good food. On Monday 26th my friend Claudia arrived. We did some very nice hiking in the sun and today it started snowing again. So we only took a little walk to the Olympic ski jump.

 Then we went into "Ul Cüsch" a very nice and cozy little hut nearby with open fireplaces and good food for reasonable prices at least for St. Moritz means.

 

A 3 course menu for Sfr. 25,50 is quite reasonable for St. Moritz .

Later we are planing to go downtown St. Moritz for some shopping and teatime at the Palace hotel for the daily freakshow in the lobby.

We went skiing at Corviglia today. Snow was good and later we had lunch in the sun on the terrace of El Paradiso. 
In the evening we had dinner at the Chesa Veglia.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow......

No signs of stopping today.  Till last night it continued snowing and in the morning I could hear the explosions from the dynamite or whatever they throw down from helicopters to let the avalanches down so nobody gets harmed. 

 Don´t know what the marmots and other animals think about that :(

 Auntie Barbara and I only did some shopping  and then we went for a little walk with Mischa the Bernese Mountain Dog till we all looked like snowmen.

Today we did a little bit of skiing at the Corvatsch . The snow was perfect but due to the fog the visibility was quite bad.

In the late afternoon we went to St. Moritz doing some shopping and afterwards we had a drink at the Palace Hotel. 

 They have the most amazing Christmas tree this year and also the Christmas illumination of the roads in St. Moritz have found a renewal.

Back in Switzerland

So, here I am back again in Surlej  for Christmas and New Years - my favorite time of the year. Barbara and I arrived on Sunday, December 18th. Finally we got some snow here and today it is snowing the hole day. Went for a walk with Mischa the dog of our neighbour.

Champagne!

In the afternoon we started to decorate the Christmas tree.

 Later we met our friend and neighbour Marika and went to the restaurant Thailando in the Hotel Albana in Silvaplana. It was excellent and delicious. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was great. I guess we will go there more often in the next two weeks.

Frogs

Frogs got quite popular in the last few years and some of my friends are collecting them. So I decided to make a blog about the pictures I took in the last few months.

We even created a drink one night that we called "The Frog " Take a big glas just like this in the picture. Fill it up with crushed ice. Add some Blue Curaçao , orange juice and then fill up the  rest with champagne or prosecco.

This was the Oktoberfest parade last Saturday in Munich. Unfortunately it was raining but anyway all the people where in a good mood

So everything has an end and we all had to leave after a wonderful time in Biot, staying at Mas Lylian

 Gaby putting together her "small luggage" moving to Hotel Domaine du Jas . We can really recommend this hotel. Very friendly, clean and good location for doing all your other trips around the French Riviera

I stayed one night longer at Mas Lylian. Gaby and Giampi came back over for a last dinner. Next morning I took off for Lake Como.

 Had a good trip to the Lago and arrived at my friend Peter´s home in Gravedona  right at the lake with a wonderful view and great terrace.

My friend Peter whom I know for many years from St. Moritz. He really teached me how to ski!

 Went to have dinner at a restaurant called "Creme Caramel" in a village near by called Acquaseria-San Siro. Best pizza ever and of course a delightful "Creme Caramel"

In the morning I was driving back via St. Moritz and Tirol. No photos because it was quite foggi and rainy.

Arrived in Munich in the sunshine and later we had a big thunderstorm here.

So that is it for now. Maybe I will post some more pictures.
